Section 1. STANDING COMMITTEES. The following
standing committees may be appointed by the president,
except for the members and chairperson of the membership
committee, who are elected. (See Article IV, Sections 6 and 7)

Section 2. SPECIAL COMMITTEES. From time to
time, the president may appoint, with the approval of the
board of directors, such special committees as may be necessary
in his/her judgment or the judgment of the board of
directors.
